Hi from the Gold Coast!

What a terrific source of info this forum is! Between dividing my time between a sportscar forum, a home building forum and an investment forum, it looks like I am going to have to fit in a camping forum too now :-bang

I loved camping as a kid & continued into my 20's & 30's but time got away & I cant recall the last time I camped in a tent!
My partner & I have said for years we should go camping & after taking a couple of quick trips interstate in a campervan then spending 2 weeks away overseas, again in a camper van, we have the bug! A camper van is out of the question (for now anyway) so a trip to the shops today saw us come home with a nice sized tent and added with the other basics we have (time to start building up the gear again), we are almost good to go!

We will be looking to take our dog with us so if you know of any dog friendly places, caravan parks or bush sites, preferably within a short distance of the Coast, please feel free to let me know.

Enough about my plans....I am off to hit the 'search' button & look around here a bit more!

Hi stella and WELCOME to the forum. Glad to see another member who camps with their furry family as well.

Have a look in the Camping with Pets thread, you should find some valuable info in there.

Hi Stella

Quite a few of us camp with dogs, and more than a few from up your way. One pretty cool resource is Ozcamps.net. It has a wealth of user contributed campsites, many of which are pet friendly.
