still a gorgeous place.. my hometown haha ... all tho i tend to stay away over the winter months ...

Sommerville Valley Campground on Storm King Dam is also a great place to stay in Stanthorpe. Have a look here: viewtopic.php?f=110&t=2685

-5 under the annex was the coldest night....who knows what it was outside

My preferred time to camp is winter.
Victorian one I mean , cosey fires, short days and usually very Quiet.
What more does one need.

Yes I must admit I also love camping in the winter months...great campfire and port weather and then snuggle down under the doona with a couple hot water bottles.
