Glenoak Farm at Kenilworth is a private camp ground and cottage accommodation.http://www.glenoak-farm.com/index.html
We stayed there with the Campervan and Motorhome club (CMCA)and it was quite good. We enjoyed the stay there. So did my daughter & partner and grandson.
Theres hot showers and bath, good camp kitchen. Some powered sites available. Communal fire with seats around it is good. The bush toilets are usable and emptied often. As there was a lot of people there, 20+ motorhomes the bush toilets had a good work out but were cleaned twice a day. All farm animals freindly and you can even milk a cow if your up there at the time.
It's kids and pet friendly. Theres even a gym and pool table up at the farm. The owner Terry and staff are very nice. The camping area is down on the flat nearest the road and the farm is up a small hill. The road in is easy to find off the Obi Obi rd, only a very small part dirt.
CMCA members $8/van/night. NonMembers $10/van/night.(prices at May2009) The camping area is principally for the use of family and friends, but other bookings will be taken on a restricted basis, subject to availability.
My only querk with the place was even though there was about 20+ dogs and 1 cat camping there we all kept our pets on leash or tethered but one of the owners dogs was a pain in the butt and tried to mount not only female dogs but males. He wasn't locked up all the time even when it was requested and kept coming down to the camping area. Lovely dog but a nuisance for your dog.
