Looking for a camping location that is a couple of hours from Melbourne. Would really like locations that allow camp fires, does anybody have any suggestions.

Welcome to the forum, what side of Melbourne are you looking at?
Bush or beach? free or caravan park?

Definitely helps to know where in Melbourne you are.
On a bad day it can take 2 hours just to get from one side of Melbourne to the other.

Other than Total Fire Ban days,
I'm pretty sure most State Forests ( )
allow camp fires and its easy enough to check rules for individual
National/Coastal/State/Regional Parks etc.

Also have a look on
Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations.
