Easter

Postby benno » Sat Jan 09, 2010 3:30 pm

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of some good camping spots around Gladstone at easter. Have heard of some around the calliope river. Will be bringing the tinny so was hoping for some water (river/Beach).
Cheers Ben :cheers

Yes I have been past the ToC & on more than one occasion but not for some time I am sorry to say so cannot really recommend anything. There are some threads that may give you some more info if you care to spend some time going back a ways.

Camilla Beach comes to mind but that's about it.

If you go back "a little ways" you will find my pictures of Carmilla Beach, it is a fair distance between there and the info on Gladstone I was chasing, sort of driving from your place to Charliville.

My reference was specifically to ToC benno, I am sorry I have no info on the Gladstone area. Try the Ozcamps site....you may get some info from there.

Gypsy: You stole 'my' Ozcamp answer...

Benno: You coule give the Town of 1770 a look. We stayed up there for a few nights - there are a few options from campgrounds and caravan parks to Deepwater NP.

We drove over ToC and then returned to the cooler side fairly quickly...
