Karen,

Anaconda in Narre homemaker would have a few and theres rays just up the road. You can try the 4x4 shops also - most have tents on display.
However if you want aussie made your going to have to go somewhere like southern cross tents in bayswater from memory or freedom camping in melbourne. Be warned you wont see much change out of $1200 for an aussie made canvas centre pole touring tent. It will last forever though.

Cheers,
Kirk

hi
thanks for the replys, i'll try them. i didn't know about that aussie store i've only seen smaller stores. I rang southern cross $1700 for touring tent, i won't be getting aussie made, we can't afford that.

Unfortunately thats the reality. I've wanted a SC tourer for ages but I cant justify $1700 Vs $300 for an import :( Maybe for 10-15% difference - but nearly 500% difference...

One day I'll be able to afford it and justify the cost - one day...

I found a spot catering for family's today, on Frankston Dandenong Rd.
Van Cruiser
684-700 Frankston Dandenong rd Carrum Downs. Sells Oztrail tents and has a decent range. seems ok with prices as well.
Got my Wife a Oztrail camper on roader today.
They have a caravan there that is 2 storey, the upper being a popup bedroom
Nice and pricey as well.

The Vic caravan and camping show is on next month, if you can wait that long. http://www.caravanshow.com.au

Should be a fair range of products on display in the one spot. In the latest RACV magazine there is a 2 for 1 deal for the Tuesday and Wednesday, and parking is free before 11am.

Titch, do Van Cruiser just do the OZtrail trailer tents? They only had the one on their website.
