The only real protection against drop bears is to smother ones self in vegemite.....for some reason the little darlin's don't like vegemite....strange considering they are aussies!!

Been many years since Ozone depleting CFC (Chlorofluorocarbon) in aerosols has been banned in Australia
Stuff they use these days is meant to be Ozone safe
Some national parks have long waiting lists for camping reservations.

All these snakes a spiders might sound quite scary for somone new to camping in Oz. To put things into perspective, Canada does not have any of these insects or snakes, insted they have big effing man eating bears that , if they don't eat you and your family and your dog, they will trash your car and eat your tent cause they can smell food on it.
Give me snakes and spiders any time.
