atkinsons dam

we just did 3 days here .. what a great spot .. does have facilities as a shop , shower & toilet .. some powered sites but we always go non powered anyway ...cheap as .. $7 a night for adults & $4 for kids .. so cost me $60 for 2 nights .. nice & quite ...

You did get a good deal dea...I was quoted $9 p/p per night non powered when I was there.

maybe cause its still winter .. not that we would think it atm ...but noone was there .. we had the park to ourselves pretty much ..

we just went last week for first time to a lake camping.
we found some probs if anyone can help fix:
1/bought our dogs and got bitten by heaps of bullants
2/ soo manny bugs
3/couldnt fish too many people with boats speed ones
4/ water too murky to swim in

im not complaining its a bad place but is all this normal
and can they b fixed

dea....just wondering which of the 2 caravan parks you stayed at when camping at Atkinson Dam....was it the Shoreline or the Waterfront??

Thought it might have been which is why there is a difference quoted in the price...you paid $7 and I was quoted $9 and it was at 2 different parks.

Might head up there next time.....

lol gypsey .. we had fun there .. water was a bit yuck but kids didnt mind lol .. pool was great for them even in winter lol...

It will be interesting to see dea....the last time I was up at the dam it looked lovely. Mind you I won't be going swimming but might do a spot of fishing or sleeping or both.

Though I must admit .......I would ever eat a fresh water fish even if I did catch one.....yuk.
