I had actually been thinking of Murphy's Creek myself - it would be ideal for a winter camp, and it is fairly "central" for everyone, whether north or south of Brisbane.

If everyon'e OK with this as a venue, I'll make some enquiries and get back to everyone with the details shortly.

I"m in. No volleyball that weekend, not that it affects me too much. Murphy's Creek looks nice though you will have to book quickly cos it seems to be very popular at the moment. Might be easier to get in in winter. And it will be absolutely freezing at night, especially. I grew up in Toowoomba and winter can be quite chilly.

Let's hope they have space.
Thanks Amanda for organising this.

I don't drink but as long as there's marshmallows, I'm good. Hey maybe someone can even make some damper.

Hot Chocolate by the fire is also yummy and put your marshmallows in it.

OK everyone - Murphy's Creek it is!

I have just contacted Peter from MC and he tells me the place is looking very green and there is now water running through the creek - not that I think we'll want to be swimming in June, but anyway!

Queens Birthday weekend is classed as a peak period, so therefore fees will be $29 per night for 2 adults, and $5 for kids 4 to 15. Pets are $2.50. Peter has kindly offered to keep some sites on hold for us while we finalise our details, so those that are definetely going please let me know for sure and I will put your names down to make sure I have a site reserved for you. Just post a reply stating power or non power, surname, number of adults/kids, and number of pets.

For anyone wanting power, sites are available at $39 per night.

I can smell the smoke from the fire now, and can almost feel the red wine warming the tummy!

Ok there is me and 3 small dogs..hopefully our little foster dog we have at the moment will be rehomed by then. Don`t know if they discount for being a single some do and some don`t,if they charge the full amount i might ask someone else to go. I will be arriving Friday probably afternoon, will know closer to the date and heading home Monday. surname is Carr if you need more info pm me let us know about the deposit so i can send that as well. Unpowered site preferrably a bit away from main camp ground mainly due to the doggies.

Well, this is sounding like a good plan! I mentioned this get-together to my hubby this morning (after he was asking me why I was laughing at the laptop) and despite us leaving for Fiji on the Thursday after the long weekend, he thinks I should drive up and join in... so I might just be coming to this one after all as well. Fingers crossed! :)
