SE Qld camp 1-2-3 October Mt Warning

Postby amanda » Fri Feb 19, 2010 8:27 am

There's been some interest also shown in another camp get together in SE Qld for October to coincide with both the NSW and Qld school holidays. Proposed date at this stage would be the weekend of Saturday 2nd October. Once again, please complete the poll so that we can gauge interest. Location is up for discussion, so any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yes yes yes! :) SEQ or NE NSW would be central - as to locations, I'll leave it up to the more experienced for suggestions.

I'm going to work it so Mick, my other half will be there for it too before he heads back for work. Meeting others from this fine forum will be a lot of fun!

Maybe somewhere near the beach as a lead into summer.

I like the idea of a beach weekend, especially if we are going to do Toowoomba in winter. The only problem with that is that most beach camps I know of are not pet friendly, and I think a few people would like to take their pets with them. Do we have any starters that do want to take their pets? If so, any ideas of a pet friendly beach location?

I`ll check it out i think one at Bribie Island is pet friendly another at Tin Can Bay and i think Woo Yong. I have to take the dogs now as my dog sitter has moved to Cairns.

Tin Can Bay will be a bit too far I think PJ, as we have members from Sydney wanting to join us that weekend. South side of Brisbane would probably be preferable for them.

Nowhere in particular, I'm keen to hear suggestions. I just thought that south of Brisbane would probably be best for our NSW guests. Having said that, Bribie isn't too far north so perhaps it could be a good spot.

Gypsy, that looks like a really good spot! Coincidently, I ended up driving through Mullumbimby on my way back from Brissie last week, while trying to find an RTA. It's a really gorgeous looking town and surrounds. I'm keen on that and sounds like it ticks all the boxes.
