I've been there and it is a great spot, though not an awful lot for kids to do. It would also depend on how many people we get, as there are only 5 creek front sites, and the rest just surround the rugby field which isn't too exciting, and those sites are a bit of a distance from the creek fron sites, so if we had a large group we'd be pretty well scattered all over the shop. Perhaps we'll just wait and see who's interested and if there's only a few then it could be worthwhile.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

If it is only a weekend camp Amanda.....do you need a lot for the kids to do....They will after all have each other to play with and chat and run about.

Some games would be all that was needed I would think....these can be organised games such as a treasue hunt or simply board games or similar.

A cricket bat and tennis ball or kick about balls are always good options too. I imagine a lot will depend upon the gender balance with the kids also....how many girls as opposed to how many boys??

You could have a cricket match between the adults and the kids.....

I agree you should wait and see how you go for numbers.....but with the recent history of camping.com get togethers....5 sites will probably be plenty.

Yes Gypsy some of the others were pet friendly BUT not in holiday and school season. So long weekend would be out at those.

It was the Ballina one to which I was referring PJ. Went and had a look at it....could not see any rates or did I miss it??

Also loved this comment from their site:

We are the most pet friendly park in Australia, conditions apply.

Ballina Beach Village does look good, doesn't it and Ballina is such a pretty town too. Good find PJ! Maybe that could be a good spot?

I rang them PJ....bit pricey....$45 per night peak season for 2 people powered and there is no pet friendly beach. Also no pets in holiday season.

$28 per night per 2 adults for power in low season.

Oh dear and they have that lovely photo of a lady on the beach with her dog. i have been caught out before with false info on web sites they shouldn`t be allowed to do it.. I booked a place in Taree once the photos were beautiful..they had taken photos of the managers house and the place they let out was a make shift cabin.Wrong.

How about Flanagan's Reserve in SEQ as per Dea's recent trip? It's dog friendly and looks super cheap too.
