Hi Campers...Another 'New' member

Postby Rosco532 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 6:22 pm

 Hi Campers...Ross & Avis from S.E. Brisbane ....and I love to get away camping in our tent (not so much avis...she prefers the campervan...or Motorhome, for longer stays.)
We are currently rebuilding a Bedford bus (30ft) so when the time comes to do the '360, we will be ready.
I'm just getting into this camp oven cooking business...and loving it.
We both love to fish (Kiwi's)....and enjoy times out by the beach or quite happy parked up by a river bed....just taking it easy.......So much to see....So much to do....ay.....We have a 4wd so.....if we can get up a beach....we will (even love camping right on the beach)
We are a family of sorta '4'......we travel with our cat & dog....when they are allowed to come...as a rule, we don't stay in a place that won't accept pets.
Will be great meeting up with you guys if we see you on the road.
Cheers
Rosco

Hi Roscoe and WELCOME to the forum. Have a look about, read some of the older threads and you will find a wealth of info and some great stories as well.

You'' see there are a few of us who camp with our furry kids and we have a folder dedicated to Pet Friendly camping....you might want to browse that one too. Please feel free to add any info you may have as well.

As Titch said.....neat setup you have there.

Cheers guys....Doesn't take the missus that long to set it up....with my help of coarse...lol...about just over an hour,,,done it a few times now.
We have 3 tents ...depends what sorta camp we are on e.g....if we take the campervan we only use the small tent solely for sleeping in and put it up at the end of the awning beside the shower / toilet tent, that way we don't have to make the beds up each nite.....then if we take just the Patrol and Camp trailer I have made up to take all our stuff....then we take the middle size tent, we have different size tarps...depending on the tent we take...
This a pic of the trailer...doubles as the kitchen area plus it has a 3 way f/f up the front with a solar panel on the roof....just put a bigger inverter in to run things like the tv (for me....)and the f/f while we are travelling ...I normally put the f/f back on gas when we are parked up.
Cheers

I love your kitchen trailer. And the awnings on your tent windows! I've often wished I had something like that when the sun's blazing down! (Though of course the tarp over the tent works too)

Thanks for the welcome guys...Seems like a pretty good bunch of ''Happy Campers'' here....ay..
I've just finished changing the trailer (yet again...lol)...so that we can store all the poles, pegs, leaf rake, mallets etc in there...(on the bottom l/H side)....Now when we arrive all the things we need first are easy to get to....All the bigger stuff like tables,BBQ,Porta-potti etc go in the Bigger area on the R/H side...PLUS....I've painted the trailer in heat reflecting paint so that it doesn't get so hot......Will get a try out over Easter.....where ever we end up.

Cheers

WOW Rosco you could call your trailer a "Camper Trailer"!!

It's just that the tent is not attached to your trailer. Great job :armsup
