Hello, I am new to this forum so please dont get annoyed if I ask a silly question :? , we were wondering where we could get two fibreglass tent poles repaired, we have a couple of OzTrail ones that snapped on our last camping trip so we need to get them repaired somewhere in Melbourne area ? Your advice would be grateful.

thanks :)

Thanks for your quick replies everyone, I will try those two retail stores, I did ask at Mitchells camping store but they emphatically said they wouldnt repair them and I would have to contact OzTrail and get a repair kit :x they werent very helpful at all.

BFC sell a repair kit, it has 4 sections of the pole along with the elastic that goes in the middle of the pole, we got a pack at christmas to repair our tent, think it cost under $20.00 and was extremelly simple, had to cut the section down to the correct size, easy 5 minute job.

cheers

When we brok a pole we took it into ranger outdoor, where we bought the tent from, and they fixed it for us! and best of all it was free. You just have to go in and play dumb (like you dont know what your are doing) and they take sympathy on you - I didn't find it to difficult to play dumb!

Thanks everyone for your advice, I have managed to get onto a very helpful chap from Mitchells in the city who is going to repair them for me. Now we can go camping on Anzac Day weekend :+
