Lovely shots - where excatly is Cape Hillsbrough - I've not heard of it.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

Been on my gotta do list for a long time.
Can't believe I didn't do it while living in Cairns for 3 years.
Too many places to see around Cairns i suppose.

Yeah it's a small national park a little way north of Mackay. There is a "resort" there (really just a caravan park). It's pretty tight there and there is no grass at all. But it does have good amenaties and a pool. They also have kangaroo feeding which the kids love. The national park has some good short bush walks as well.

We camaped there last September school holidays. It is a beautiful part of the Whitsundays. Lots of great walks to do and spectacular views.
We also camped at the nature resort-which is a camp ground with some cabins in the National Park. There is a shop which also has fish n chips which is pretty handy. Pool for the kids. Amenities just ok. One of our kids also picked up a tick from the bushes fronting the beach.
One of the nights we were there at about 12am, we heard this thundering noise and then some noise that sounded like a drunk person rolling down a hill....then with my heart pounding, I peeked out of the tent and saw about 15 kangaroos hopping past.
The camp ground gets pretty packed though, so best to book.
