P J ,I love your simplistic approach, re minds me of years of sleeping in the Boot,( Yank Ford) or back of a Station wagon.
Heating a Tin of food in the extractors( Exhaust) of my old Holden.
Life was a simple joy.

This is our set up from last month, our first trip with the caravan.

This is a shot of our campsite not long after we set up.

And this is after it started raining and we realised we had a major leak(flooding and downpour in the van  )

Yep...Sorry about that....I've still got a few pics that are from when I had a card that only took 12 pics....and they are big.
Actually,,,funny story behind that pic....I was working in Townsville in Security when they had their big Race car (Townsville 400) meet there last year,,,,,I asked the organisor if it was ok to 'over-nite' stay in this park....he said 'no-worries', so I did for a week.
With so many people in town for the week and camp spots at a premium I could never work out why no-one else stayed on this Park.....I would be up at 4am...prepare for the day then walk down to the racetrack......work all day then get home around 7ish....both leaving and arriving in the dark.....the park always empty except for my camper.
Turned out over the bank runs a creek that is notorious for crocs and it seems they wander up into the park at nights....hense the empty park.....Oh for a little local knowledge...lol

I think i`m going to steal your shade cloth idea, i usually put a smaller tarp there but if the breeze is coming from that way you miss out.
