Newnes

Postby Serenity Now » Wed May 05, 2010 11:14 am

We camped at Newnes for 5 nights in the April school Holidays and had a great time.
Some great walks to do especially for the kids.
The Glow Worm Tunnel walk is worth doing, quite an easy walk so too is the Industrial Ruins walk.
A really interesting area that our photos dont do justice.

I always find it amazing how the last thing standing in old ruins is the chimney....

Most of the time thats because the chimney was the only thing made of stone.

In the ruins to which I am referring, the whole construction was made of stone. Take a trip through the SA outback....it is absolutely fabulous.
