What is the vote on these? Looking at 95-2000 model. And can't really see much difference.... unless anyone owned one.....

Thanks in advance

What do you want to use it for? camping, hardcore 4x4ing or just going for a beach run? the only thing I hated when the olds had one years ago was that there wasn't much room in the back seats for 3 kids.

Mainly grunty enough to tow all the gear. Beach definately not really hard core rock but bush track is on the cards.

Tow as in trailer and/ or camper trailer?

A trailer. Most duel cabs can handle a tonne braked, but that's more than enough.

Go a petrol or turbo diesel 4 cyl, I don;t think V6's came out back then but they would be nice especially towing a camper along the beach, but otherwise they are much of a muchness, Hilux's are always worth more than the rest but you will probably not need something that can be converted into an awesome machine like a hilux can be.
