Camping Community

A place to talk about anything well just about anything (this is a family show remember).

Should Camping start a social community.

Yes it would suit me.

Those of us who appreciate this forum might be prepared to put up a few dollars - would that help? Overt ads within the forum are not something I'd be keen on but I wouldn't mind maybe $25 ... how much do you need to keep the forum running? Personally I'd prefer it stuck to camping-related topics.

Yes, I am with Elaine... I'm more than happy to write and post a cheque annually for $25.

Hi everyone, was reading this topic and decided to register so I could respond.

I run several websites, yes including a camping site, but our forums never took off.

But I do run another forum and from my experience people come and go that is just the nature of the internet.

From an admin point of view, I prefer forums because over a period of time you can provide a wealth of knowledge to visitors and new members.

OK all you creative people out there....get those juices flowing and let's see what you come up with.

We can start a separate thread for it and maybe a poll at the end of it to see what the regular members/admin think of the submissions and run with it from there.

bah, i thought you'd be running the place by now!

So maybe if we create a logo, we could give admin guy a nudge and he could stick it up there?

edit: maybe we should look through some new template styles and give the place a new look :armsup

I have a submission site , how about I put it up over the next 2 - 3 weeks. ::() Yes I hope to upload a new camping site soon but not to worry the forum shall remain the same the only main difference is going to be the login so instead of logging in with your user name and password you will be logging in with your email and password. I know its a pain but it just didn't work the other way. But everything else is basically the same promise ;) .

So fingers crossed this wont cause too much disruption.

Yes well I have had some issues with IT staff that have caused a few set backs but we are very close, I would say if not this week then the next assuming my new staff can keep it together. So lets cross our fingers... ::()
