Camped at Bestbrook moutain resort over the queens birthday long weekend.
Thought I put my bit forward of what we thought of it.
My family and I had a great time with the farm experiences and rocky stream which we camped next to.It was very cold ,frost everywhere in the mornings.
The staff looked after the campers really well .Picked up our rubbish bags daily and provided portable toilets near the campsites. We stayed in an area away from the main campgrounds which is a bit more isolated but was still looked after more than most places would. There has been people mentioning on here concerned about the trailbikes on the property. I could say that wasn't a real concern. There was the odd trailbike but they would start and ride off into the bush and you wouldn't here her them after that, but that was in the distance so was'nt a problem with us.
The farm experience was great for the kids ,feeding animals, milking cows ,collecting eggs, teaching us the old ways our ancesters did things.
The only problem was not enough areas for group camping on the stream edge only small pockets which were taken up pretty quickly. But we got there early on friday and got a good spot with a running stream and small waterfall which the kids play in all day(when they could get the time). Another problem was showers not being convenient in the other camping areas.
Although these could be big problems for first time campers we hava a good set up to keep us happy.
Didn't get much relaxing time though, could of stayed a week easily. Next time we will.
