Good point Gypsy...our problem the last 2 times we rang was that the place was full of workman staying in the area who were working on different projects down that way...they had as good as booked out the camp......most of the projects shold be near complete by now...

This camp was originally planned for the school holidays Rosco so that might put RR out.

Being probably the only pet friendly venue on the south coast would make it very popular I would think.

I just gave them a quick bell Gypsy and he says school holidays don't seem to effect them...so...they are not booked out.
I also checked Re. ''fires'' for cooking in my pot ....no area for this...(bummer)
All the other cooked methods are fine

cheers

This will give you an idea of the size of the sites at Rivers Retreat..
We had the Toymota camper van and our big tent all on one site....
What I'm getting at is....If 2 couples wanted to share a site like we did it sure cuts your costs ....as long as only one of the pair wanted a powered site......its common practice at camp sites for them to only allow one ''unit'' feeding off the power box per site.

The toilets / showers etc are straight across from the tenting area

Hope this helps

Cheers

Well forumites.....it is now up to you if you want to follow up with this weekend camp.

You need to collectively decide:

A. If you want to have a Camping.com weekend camp
B. Where you are going to camp
C. When definitely you are going to camp
D. Who is going to camp

Rosco has made the call and it appears at this point in time River Retreat CP at Tweed is a possibility....so people...consider your options, make your decision and advise accordingly.

In view of past history.....I suggest that you not make a committment if you are not fully intending to attend.

I suggest we wait until a bit closer to the time Rosco......UNLESS you and PJ and whoever else........wants to book River Retreat NOW.

The others can add on as we go along if they wish to do so.

I am more than happy to set up another poll if that's what you want.....I also suggest that if this Meet is actually going to happen this time that you try for a group discount at the CP.

Every person still has to book their own site but it can be to attend with the Camping.com Group

This quote and date is from the original post Rosco which suggested the first weekend in October because it was in school holidays for both Qld & NSW.

Those of you who are definitely going should decide if you want to run with this date or pick another.

PJ may have a roster to consider.
