The Gorge Aratula

The Gorge Aratula

Postby GypsyLady » Fri Aug 20, 2010 9:32 pm

Here are some pix from my recent 5 day camp.....great weather, great food, great company and not long enough.

Arrived on wednesday, friends arrived soon after with another coming on thursday.

We had the campground to ourselves until the weekend and then it was still pretty quite with the other campers going further down the creek and leaving us to ourselves.

The kookaburras were delightful and not at all shy.

Fantastic photos, what camera are you using?
I like the rules and prices.

Olympus SP 560UZ.....a couple years old now. I used it on a tripod this time for some of the pics and it does make it much easier with the super zoom.

See Titch....good things come to those who wait.

Curious, how come you can post so many pictures in one hit?
Mind you very nice ones at that.
Next time get the Kooka to clean his beak.
Is the water pottable?

Non potable water, comes direct from the creek.... Flush toilets, old bucket style showers but at $4 a day who would complain. Most people take their own these days.

Re number of pics....don't know, thought there used to be a limit of 7 in one hit but this time it seemed to work ok. You do have to reduce the size but I reckon you already know that Titch.

You want me to give him a bib, do you Titch??

You do need to book in advance to camp dicko. The place is extremely popular long weekends.
