Looks like a great camping ground. Is it pet friendly?

Excellent, it seems to be ticking a lot of boxes for me... Pet friendly, close to Brisbane, bush setting, fishing. Do they have a website, or do you have the contact details?

No website......the phone number is 5526 0683.

Coming from Brisbane turn left at the pub onto Charlwood Road. Drive 2.4 klms and turn right onto a dirt track, Gorge Road. There is a very primitive looking handwritten old sign on the corner.

Head down the track (keep right) just over 1klm and you will come to a gate....that is the entrance to the campground. Close the gate.

Have only ever seen catfish caught there MDC and I suspect there might even be a platypus in the creek as well....certainly sounded like it.

You can have a camp fire in the designated fireplaces so make sure you take some with you....none available there.

There is a great fisho who comes to the pub car park thursday to sunday...well worth a visit. We had prawns by the fire for dinner on saturday evening. Very decadent.

Thanks for this info, it sounds like a great place. Fresh water catfish aren't that bad eating, as long as it's the eel tailed type not the fork tail. Prawns from the fisho do sound like the tastier option though!

who knows, i put mine in "it's all about the journey" because i don't know where else to put it.

it could go in to any of the seven forums of this "My camping experience" section. :-bang

It wasn't about the journey Steve but the destination and that is why I put it in here.
