Re: SE Qld camp in October-Proposed dates 2-4 October Mt War

Postby Rosco532 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 8:38 pm

Just dropped this post down incase members intending to come did not see it....

River Retreat now only have 2 sites left...To make it worse, It seems that the People from down South don't want to leave our 'Warm' little State = They won't go home !!!!,,,which is making it hard to get camp sites...also in conjunction with school holidays.....after all that....They do have ''2'' sites available for that period.

NOW,,,,Jenni from R/R Suggested maybe going to ''Mt. Warning'' where there is still plenty of room...//.. I have no problem with that and after reading that Poodle had recently been in the area and ''approved'' it...I decided to call them and have a ''chat''

The out-come is this------
YES......they can fit us (infinite number...ha) in.
YES......they can do either power or non power as required by the individual.
YES......they are ''PET'' friendly...(they have a seperate area for us....yay)
Prices are........$28- powered per 2 people,,per nite.
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''$24- un-powered ''' ''' ''' '''' '''' '''''

And the great news is YES.....(after beating him up).....They will do a ''SPECIAL'' for our singles (had to warn him about Gypsy...lol...untill he finally gave in)
$22-per nite powered........and........$18-per nite unpowered

I also arranged that...I will pay mine, on booking, in full......And YOU GUYS will only be required to book in and NOT have to pay / send a deposit...i.e ,,pay when you arrive.

So.....its up to the team...Do we move camp ?????

The guys name is ''Graham'',,,a very nice helpfull guy.....
---If we end up changing (well...it is ''julias week...and she likes to change...lol)....When booking PLEASE use the reference ''AUSSIE CAMP FORUM''....then he will know about the pricing and what area we will be staying in.....

Rests up to you guys !!!!!!!!

(He even said....'Steve'' can come........lol)

That is only in the winter months Rosco and only on the tourist strip.....there are plenty of places that one can camp on notice of 3 weeks.

WHERE ARE YOU WHEN THE TIME COMES ???????????????????????

If we read the graph up the top it says...

9 Said ''YES''.........where are you now ????
4 Said ''NO''..........Your off the hook !!!
7 say ''may-be''...... Time to decide..........

As Lara Bingle would have said...Where the B****/**** Are You ????

We haven't actually been to Mt. Warning before so, Apart from meeting new/old friends...Its another chance for us to get out there and try something new,,,,Certainly looks like a nice place with lots to do & see.

I don't recall Stevo ever posting that he was attending....think Rosco was just being his usual dilly self when he made that comment.

RE the Get Together
That is Rosco, Avis and Bailie, PJ and fur babies definitely BOOKED so far. Hopefully we might get some positive responses from the emails/PMs I sent out earlier.
