Family Frisked on Freeway in Police

Ok I know this is a story from America but I found it fairly amusing.

I normally have a check list I go through to help with packing and getting ready.

Clothes - check
Toiletries - check
Tent - check
Check plates on car to make sure they haven't been swapped with a knocked off set - oops

Who ever checks their own numberplates? Unless you're looking for your car and there's too many like it parked nearby (which often happens with my Astra). But in that case I'd never find it!

For those with keyless entry....you can press the remote and look for the flashing lights.

AND....who would check their number plates before embarking on a journey??

Who indeed! No one has explained why the family who were so roughly dealt with by the American police had false number plates anyway. Seems an odd thing for ordinary people - most of us would not expect their vehicles to suddenly sport false number plates!
