it's me Alfie

Postby noelhunter » Tue Aug 31, 2010 8:46 pm

Hi, my name is Noel Hunter, have built and sold a camper trailer, just bought a Camp-o-matic hard floor. Get out camping at every opportunity, usually at least once a month. Have a Challenger to tug the "house" around with. Have some friends I regularly go camping with, am looking to widen my circle of camping companions. Getting a bit long in the tooth, not much change out of 60 but just love to get out there and share the expereriences. Ilive at Beenleigh on the south west part of Queensland.

Good one Rosco....I was going to suggest the same thing.

Actually Noel....Rosco is looking for male back up as he is the token male going camping at this point and he is afraid he can't handle the pressure.....ha, ha.

woman in Botswana
I noticed in Botswana that the women are often burdoned by large loads, usually on their head as well as in their hands and sometimes a baby on their back also. However, the men don't carry much if anything at all. The reason for this, is that traditionally the men need their hands free in order to defend their family from possible enemy/animal attacks.

Thanks for the warm welcome, have been involved with several camping forums haven't had much luck to date, this one looks like a goodie. This camping trip of which you speak, where abouts is it? Am keen to go camping anywhere within striking distance of home, am hoping to do Birdsville at christmas, not really into hors racing and it should be quieter then
