I think alex sat low too. In the end though, he took up all the space as you would expect. And he was bigger than typical for his gestational age, too.

Its easy DeStevo....When you have a date / commitment,,,then you just know not to make other plans around that time....Also...it gives your boss plenty of time to make other plans to cover while you are away (if they don't...then its tough bikkie for them !!!).....if $$$$'s are a problem...then it gives you time to put a little away each week till you head off....the difference between an enjoyable break and having to sit back and watching every-one else eat their ice-creams.... :( .....
I'm sure there are a truckload of other reasons out there.....

I have a calendar on the wall in the kitchen and every important date goes on there. Camping, appts, bills....parties etc.
There's a rule at our house. If it's not on the calendar, it's not on.

My outback trip in May-June next year is in the final stages of planning and I have another on the drawing board for August 2011 with several smaller ones in between.

Steve....give it a try, you might like it.

I don't get any holidays apart from xmas, and it's about three weeks then, but then it's too hot to go to some of the place i want to, like west.

But that's not the end of the world. We get a few long weekends i could plan for i guess. Easter is only 4 days so you can't go too far out.

I was thinking of visiting a few dams for some bush camping and fishing from the canoe. Lake Awoonga is one, i camped there at the caravan park once, which i will never go back to, mainly because it's a caravan park, but there is a State Forest bush camping area at the other side of the lake, you just have to go the back way to get there, so that's on the list now.

Take a day either side of Easter and make it worthwhile Steve.

Have you looked at Yallakool on BP Dam Steve......you might like that one.

Thanks for the suggestion GP, but they have "facilities" and a "kiosk" !!! ... there's grass and it's mowed!!

I'm more after bushing camping, state forest kinds of places, but not the ones where you have to park in a set spot and put you tent on the other side of the barracades, more like just set up where ever you want.

There must be a website somewhere for that stuff? Though i guess if there's no money in for anyone no one would make a website for it? Does that ozcamps site list that kind of thing? I'll have to have a look later.
