Hi MacLister!!!!

I found this on the Campertrailers.org site for sale....I know it's only 9ft tent but has a swag of extra's and it's a Modcon. Looks like it's in pretty good nick, maybe worth a look. It's a little over your budget of $5K but remember all those added extras....

Anyway just thought it was worth passing on :cheers

Darn, it's out of my badget, as stipulated by my bank manager. :)

Good news, we're rolling the ball now. Tomorrow, we're getting a tow bar attached (2,000kg, Hayman Reese). $644. Ouch...

Yup - we're going to look at an OzTrail 12 (Twin, I believe).

The trailer has a swing out door, but no kitchen. Are they pricey? They seem like a good idea. :)

Kitchens can be very pricey depending on what you want and get. Mine is very basic and consists of a long rectangular box that has been attached to the draw bar. The top is the bench area and I have a plastic bowl for a sink which I attached a drainage hose to. Underneath is a shelving area which I put two plastic boxes to store kitchen crockery and other bits and pieces. It is covered by a curtain. It is basic but very useful.

Wish I had a decent photo of it. I have this cut and paste version so far. The microwave and 20Lwater bottle and cutlery/plasticware box all sit just inside the trailer. The blue curtain is the shelf area.

I'll try to find some better photos, not sure if I have any, though, but you get the idea.

Thanks sienna - that looks pretty nice though!

I am actually seeking an urgent answer. The tow bar fitter has asked if we want a 'Flat pin, or a round pin'.

He says Flat is better - fits fluher? But ... is it up to me, or do I need to check what the trailer need?

We have a flat pin and I think they are the most common.

I also think you can get an adapter of sorts if the CT you buy has a round pin.

Going down across the NSW board on Saturday, I think, to maybe collect it. :) Might invest in a ball protector. :***

Keep it nice and shiney!

Will be fun towing something for the first time! And if we buy on Saturday, reversing the trailer onto my drive way could be something worth videoing!! :)

You have a lot to look forward to. I'm hopeless at reversing with my CT, prefer just to drive straight in. Good luck with yours when you get it.

Nice, you know you can pull out the pin and keep that "tongue" in the car? So then you don't get hurt by it. If you have some kind of storage compartment in your vehicle stick it in there, not on the floor, because if you're in an accident it will kill you.
