In that case I'll let Chippy do the work, I think. I don't want to share with everyone how many undies and socks we take.

I got your email, but am at work now so will send the list when I get home. Might even be able to edit it with Google reader actually.

You are right Lin....socks and undies info is not required.....that would be a personal choice there.

A general camping list is what I was thinking of and then each person can add their own personal requirements.

i dont really use a list. i have the 4wd sitting open, with the carport empty, then i go through my packing routine.
I start by picturing my campsite.
tent first, then tarps poles etc... anything to do with the tent.
then i picture in my head what is required in the tent.out that comes into a pile
the the same for the cooking (cookers, pots pans, table chairs etc....)
fishing equipment
car maintence stuff
recovery gear
food

once all in a big pile/mess in the carport, i start playing tetris, to pack it all neatly, and in some kind of order to which is required first (esky is always required first, my tent can't go up without help from the :beer )

My wife thinks i'm a nut for doing it that way, but so far haven't really forgotten anything.

Bought the latest copy of Campertrailer Australia yesterday and they have done a camping list in this edition for anyone who is interested.

I do a similar thing to you Dave when repacking the CT....so far so good... :+
