You can't convert it to gas as you would a normal petrol vehicle, but you can get gas 'fumigation'. Where they run diesel and gas at the same time. Gives more performance, and slightly better economy (10-20% is their published average figures IIRC)
http://www.dieselgas.com.au/ here's their site. Can get a bit more exxy than a normal conversion to I think, about 3k as a start from memory.
Life's too short to be grumpy, SMILE PM me for all your window cleaning, pressure cleaning, and commercial cleaning needs!! Nathan's Window Cleaning
I have been looking at this and thought 3k is a lot of diesel, so to get that little bit more go from mine I put in 10% petrol in the diesel seems to work well for power but dosen't help too much in getting better economy.
Interesting Kramer! never thought of doing a diesel / petrol dingaling
The LPG Diesel systems KICK ASS! up at eildon we took one for a spin and it nearly scared me it had so much go! (remember that I travel to work 3 times a week in a Nissan 350Z and the driver, dad, isnt afraid to give it the herb)
We are actually looking to in 12months time put our Nissan Navara on it.
A place I'd rather be... Mitchel Road, Bomjinna. Central West Victoria (Jan '08)
Ahh that answer is easy I know of a few with V8 diesels in 60 series cruisers and they get great fuel economy, the expense of registering a V8 in QLD is fairly steep, by the way I figure is that I will get better fuel economy and more power My uncle gets better litres/100k's out of his petrol V8 100 series than I do out of my 1HZ 100 series, so I should do alright with the V8 diesel conversion.
