Going to Day on the Green concert to see John Farhnam, Ross Wilson, 1927 & Richard Clapton!!!
The other family that will always camp with was going until yesterday as they had to pull out
Will still have a great time as we have another couple we are going with but they are staying in a cabin whereas our other friends were taking their CT and camping next to us at the Riverside CP.
If anyone wants some tickets we have 4 to sell and also have a powered site booked, but will have to call the CP about 2pm and cancel their booking.....so if you want to go let me know before I ring Rosie and cancel. The site is booked for Fri & Sat nite as it's a 2 night minimum.
Only 1 sleep till I'm sleeping back in the Customline!!!!
We have the cup weekend here and Von was going down to Wilsons Prom. The Weather report says Rain up to 50mm on Saturday ,rain on Sunday, rain on Monday and not warm. Appears we are staying home and smoking some Bacon Instead. Oh Well. Titch
Can't, i'm the only one here today, and should stay til 4pm. I should stay til 4:30 actually but i thought i'd take off early. I just know that when i hit the Gateway i'm going to get stuck in the traffic and there'll be an hour wasted. Traffic and Nudgee and then more traffic on the Bruce Highway going north.
From Hemmant to go north i have the choice of the Gateway, or Toombul Road then Sandgate Road, or in through the City and up through Asply, all of which are as bad as each other, and then i can either go out through Kilcoy / Nanango , or up to Gympie and then inland through Kilkivan. Going out through Kilcoy and Nanango is a pretty crap road and a fair bit of traffic. We're towing car trailers aswell so we'd rather stick to the nicer road anyway. We usually find going north to Gympie is a better road and hardly any traffic once we turn off at Gympie.
Brisbane Valley? yeah that's sooooo long, i've made the mistake of thinking it would be faster to go that way on various trips. I have been told by people that if i was going here or there that i should take that road, you just about have to pull up and camp half way along it.
