the missus and i + two kids 2&4 are about to head off for a year of camping and work we would be greatful for any advice on good foods for storage and preperation we are only taking two large eskys thankyou

I assume you will be staying in facilitated camp sites such as caravan parks? Or will you be pitching camp in the bush? Is your car fitted out with a dual battery?

Sorry ... but a little more info is needed if you want input from people.

sorry for the lack of info e are only carrying ice eskys and will probably be staying at bush and caravan parks

I would suggest to take a fridge and an esky if needed, 2 large eskies while going camping for 12 months would be a nightmare for me. Thats only my opinion and others may differ by the way, it would be nice if you could keep us updated on your travels.

It all depends on how far and long you stay away from any shops/civilisation you will be staying as well. I found that died veges, potato and vacuum sealed meat kept us alive when we went up to the cape. Vacuum sealing worked really well we were still eating the same meat we took with us when we got back over 30 days later.
