NSW - Lake Hume tourist Park

This was the worst tourist park i have ever stayed in. :x
We emailed first to ensure that they could cater for our family of 6. 4 children 2 adults. we requested 3 seperate rooms, with air conditioning. the only room that had a door was the master b/r. The air conditioning was situated in one of the bunk rooms so while the 2 children in there froze the rest of us cooked. the kitchen had an electric element and grill, no oven. and the bathroom was so narrow that you had to slide sideways past the sink to get to the toilet or shower. We also got locked in one morning as we were attempting to leave as the boom gates failed to accept our code and the owner manager did not wish to get up from his breakfast to fix it. ( he did eventually come to correct the fault) but there will definitely be no returning to Lake Hume Tourist Park for our family.

15 minutes from Albury right at the Hume Weir.
It's a wonderful region with amazing views and great trout fishing when the water levels are up. Not much there now if you have kids looking for excitement. Plenty of hiking, fishing, site seeing and wine tasting with places such as Beechworth and Wangaratta only a stones throw away.
