There is none to my knowledge.

But I have added a note in my Camps 5 that Minnie Water CP will accept Dogs but not Cats
If that is not too far south for you, give them a ring 02 6649 7693 and check it out.

I have looked at Minnie Waters before and they said 'no dogs'......unless that has changed.
I really did want Brooms Head but if that is not to be....then it is not to be.

As it is two years since Camps 5 was released I was expecting they would have released 6 to catch the Christmas shoppers.

No, they seem to always release in the Feb/March timeslot from what I recall.

No dogs at Brooms Head CP and the other camping nearby is mainly NP. Minnie Water is a fair drive from Brooms Head.

Have you booked a spot in Brooms Head - it gets very busy there... Nearby Maclean pretty much packs up and moves out there! Having grown up in the area I can't think of anywhere that allows dogs this time of year. We are heading up to my folks who are now in Grafton and have organised a house sitter to take care of the hound while we are away.

If you end up staying in the region over the X-Mas break PM me.

Kev

Thanks Kev....not looking for anything over the xmas period. The question originated because of a friend who lives at Tweed asked me about some pet friendly camping south of Tweed and as I've always had an interest in BH so I thought I'd ask the question and answer both questions.

I am looking at doing the Northern Rivers area over xmas & I may very well be in the Grafton area myself for a bit. I have friends who are looking at the showgrounds there as a possibility for a short stay.

OK - Christmas is pretty peak season from Iluka through to Coffs Habour.

Its a very diverse part of the world, you can go from somewhere like Sandon Village near Brooms Head, accessible by boat or 4WD along the beach, to the mountains of Dorrigo in a couple of hours. If you get to the region have a happy explore.

I am planning more on inland Kev, having a look around the Clarence in particular.

I have just done the coastal strip....no real interest in going back in a hurry.
