So far we've been to Shoal Bay, Port Stephens and Anna Bay (again Port Stephens!). Heading to Sydney Northern Beaches in a couple of weeks and then down to Kiama a few weeks after that. Not sure where our final trip of the season will be in Easter yet...

Alright, time to resurrect last year's thread. Where's everyone going camping this summer?

I'm going to Jervis Bay again this year as I missed out last year due to illness. We're not camping it this time and staying in hired accommodation, but we had an extra 3 days at the end which we're going to spend at Lake Tambourie near Ulladulla.

Off to GC with the Motley Crew...8 families from xmas to new year's...just myself and my daughter on our front (and the 2 puppies of course)...looking 4wd to lots of reading, lazing in the creek and hearing the laughter of about 21 kids in all, especially the giggling at night time coming from their tents :+ . I have packed the solar lights and have some special xmas ones too...also have some fairy solar lights (solar mushrooms and lady beetles) for the littles to make a special fairy garden this year just for santa!!

Gunna be a very early xmas mornng this year..last yr I had to wake my daughter up, I couldn't wait any longer !!

Your trip sounds like a good one "Aunty Gypsy"

Will definately post some piccies now I know how to do it :?# :?# we have some great photographers in our group so should get some good shots...that's if we can cross the numerous creek crossings to get there...might not be able to if this keeps up...travelling in a convoy so at least I won't be alone!!

We are briefly at home having been to Manilla (NSW) and then up Grafton way for Christmas with the rellies...

After I do a few things (like service the 4WD) we are off to Paddy's River Dam for a few more before work starts up again in Jan 11.

Warrabah NP (http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/Natio ... x?id=N0064) is about 40km out of Manilla, on the Namoi River and there are 2WD and 4WD accessible campsites. With the recent rains and flooding the river was up and cracking along. It's a pretty place and worth the visit. Once we get back from Paddy's I'll do a bit of an update on my blog (http://actnswcamping.blogspot.com) with some pics and a bit better story.

GL - Paddys River Dam is in Bago State Forest and it was magnificent. Bago SF is between Tumbarrumba and Talbingo. We went in from the Tumba end and the road was pretty average as a result of the recent rains and 4WD traffic. Lots of ruts and washouts - so a fun drive in.

Quite a few campers, some with horses and/or dogs and even a few fisher folk catching rainbow trout. Shame it all had to come to an end really.
