Packing!

A place to talk about anything well just about anything (this is a family show remember).

We do need a few more things, but you are right that it's actually not that much work. Still... in my experience, if I leave it till the last minute it always seems to take me hours and causes us to leave much later than intended. Which I cannot afford this time because we'll be arriving at sunset as it is.

GL: fortunately I know that my daughter will be fine without toys and games there. There will be some initial tears when she realises what she forgot to pack, but she'll get over it quickly. Which is why I should try to use this as an example for next time and let her feel the natural consequences of not doing as asked. Though I'm sure I'll soften up a bit by tonight and give her a few more prompts.

Done. Apart from a tub of stuff that I still have to take out to the car and the esky.

Now I'm praying that it won't rain until I get there because I very much doubt that the suitcase on the roof is waterproof and I decided not to put a tarp over it because of the risk of it coming loose.

Have a great holiday everyone!

Lin....The suitcase on the roof .....Did you put it in a plastic bag ////like a black rubbish bag...that will atleast keep the rain off till you get there ....

Oh....Don't forget your wet weather / ski boots.... :-bang

Enjoy your holiday......I'm sure you will.

Cheers & have a lovely Xmas,

gees that's roughing it, having a suitcase on the roof! ::()

You need a bigger car!

Use lots of packing tape to tape the garbage bag on to the suitcase and reduce the horrible noise that it'll make at 100kph :***

Are you offering me one? ;)

Now my daughter's grandmother rocked up at work with Xmas presents to take with. How I am going to put them in my carefully packed car so my daughter doesn't notice them, I do not know.

Now,,,,Theres another reason not to pack to early....circumstances can change.........

Avis is always going mad at me leaving things to the last minute....Funny part is....I'm ALWAYS the one waiting for her at 'take off time'..... :armsup
