Camping QLD/NSW help!

Postby Lucia D » Wed Dec 22, 2010 5:03 pm

Hi guys,

Im looking for a campground nearish to brisbane (within 3 hours drive) that allows camp fires and has basic facilities, i.e. showers. Must be accessible by a normal 2WD car though.

Ideally, would be nice if it had a beach/lake nearby, and wasnt too crowded...but I might be asking too much...

If anyone knows of anything, or otherwise can reccomend any nice campgrounds in the area even if you cant have fires, would be greatly appreciated :)

Thankyou, Luci

Hi Luci, Island Reach at Imbil ticks all those boxes.

If you can do without the beach, you could try Gordon's Country or Goomburra State Forest out Warwick way. It has a creek that runs all the way through with a few good water holes. Although I'd say there's plenty of water out there at the moment...
