If I had a few kids with 4 legs,I wouldn't take them out in public either.

Our kids love dogs, we had a german shephard for about 7 yrs. Not long after moving up here a big storm came and blew off the rear gate, he got out and was hit. He died in the back of the car on the way into the vets. So the girls would be in their element.
And the purpose of the woolen coat, is that to keep you in touch with your roots rosco...lol.

I really don't care what we eat on Xmas day. We had pancakes for brunch, skipped lunch as we went to the beach instead (we had it pretty much to ourselves) then for dinner had sausages (!) and salads, with veggies from our own garden, including the beetroot which I roasted in the campfire the night before.

I hate traditional Xmas food. And I especially hate slaving in the kitchen when it's supposed to be a day for relaxing with your loved ones.

I also hate the over the top present tradition. Presents for kids are ok, but adults giving eachother sh!t that they don't need or want just makes me feel awkward. Which is one of the reasons why I try to make sure we're out of town over Xmas!
