Kings Plains castle near Glen Innes was built by George Vivers great nephew of the original purchaser William Vivers who was an immigrant from Dumfries in Scotland.
The property was purchased in 1832 and construction on the castle began in 1908 and it was to become one of the most stunning family homes in the country.
He created a 28-room, 3-level castle complete with a tower and battlements and filled it with priceless antiques from around the world.
It is said that George built it as a reminder of his Scottish heritage. It made him feel at home.
It is now a luxury B&B and we managed to sneak onto the property and have a look at this fabulous castle and get a couple of pics.
