A Tent with a sewn in floor is good for a few things.
Sealed to insects.
Water goes under or around to about 100 mm.
Less setting up and putting down.
Can you still get a tent without a sewn in floor?

Hi ron D and WELCOME to the forum.

Firstly, I have to agree with everything Titch said about the sewn in floor of your tent....IMO, it is a must have.

Secondly, I can't imagine you can buy a tent that does not have a permanently attached floor. If you can I would be interested in hearing more about it, what brand etc.

Thirdly, I deleted your other posting as I see it was repeated here which is a more appropriate place for it. You'll probably get more answers to your question here too.
