Roma Street Parklands Brisbane

A place to talk about anything well just about anything (this is a family show remember).

Roma Street Parklands Brisbane

Postby GypsyLady » Thu Mar 24, 2011 9:15 pm

I spent the day or most of it with my son today....a rare treat. We had a wander around the Roma Street Parklands and whilst our visit was accidental...it was a most enjoyable place to visit.

How lovely it is, I never knew about it prior....lovely walks, waterfalls, gardens, wildlife and FLOWERS....very peaceful midweek.

BTW....these pics were taken on my little Sony Bloggie....very pleased with the result too.

Gypsy...If you feel like another pleasant stroll when you are in the city next time....Try the Botanical Gardens
..I spent a week in there guarding the drilling rig that was doing the proposed underground railways under the river....I never realized how many people use that park....for once I felt like our taxes wern't being wasted.

I used to work in Mary Street Rosco and walked in the Botanical Gardens every lunch break for years so I am very familiar with them. I personally think Roma St Parklands is much nicer with the water falls etc and of course it was unexpected too.

I am sure my son would love to go fishing with the boys....not sure his wife would approve though.

I would agree with your Dad Rosco.....but today it is called being a considerate husband and he is very much that which is probably not a bad thing.
