Just got home from a full weekend fishing, we went out yesterday for a bit of a reccy and only got one Flathead, we kept that one and had it for dinner, in beer batter, was very nice.
So today was the competition, the target species for Qld was Queenfish, Bream and Whiting, (they email out the target species the night before). First off i got a small Flathead, then nothing for ages, we moved around a but, then a bit of action, a Queenfish and straight after a Cod. I was pretty happy about getting the Queenfish as that was the target species so atleast i got an entry for the comp. The mate that i was with didn't get anything all weekend so i think he felt a bit worse than i did... but ya get that.
Some pics, we were off Caloundra/Bribie Passage
