Careful about the legality of carrying gas bottles inside the vehicle....I keep forgetting which is legal and which is not. If someone can point me to a link I would really appreciate it.

Thanks Lin....knew someone would come up with the regs....however it only applies in Qld so the other states will have to source the same type of info.

Any takers??

I think it's similar for Vic - 2 cylinders max in the boot.

P.S Kmart have a 35L one this coming week for $289.

I finally had a look at this fridge. They still had some left at Aldi. And I realise I'll never be able to get one because they're just too heavy. 18 or 20kgs. I just could not lift that with the weight of the stuff in it as well.

That's a bit of a bugga Lin.....never mind I am sure you can continue to successfully camp with your cooler box. We all did it for many years before fridges became so affordable.

I actually took my ice box for the drinks over Easter. Made up a 15kg block of hard ice and a couple of smaller ones before going and it lasted 5+ days

hey all

Aldi have these 45 litre fridges on sale again this week. by the past comments they seem to be a decent buy. Has anyone got any other comments on them.
Also would like to know how big a gas bottle would we need to run one of these for a week?

HI

Aldi have these on sale again next week for anyone interested. Our Easter camping crew ran 2 of these on gas for 6 days at Neurum Creek last week and we could not be happier. They worked perfectly and kept the contents well chilled. We reckon they are a great buy.

(also just as a FYI - I had a minor problem with mine a few months back and had to send it back for a slight adjustment - the after sales service from the manufacturer was also very good and turnaround time excellent - 24 hrs)
