Larger size sleeping bags

Postby Scott S » Tue May 03, 2011 8:42 pm

I've bought a nJackaroo Goulburn sleeping bag from Kmart before we went on our first camping adventure but I found it to be a bit narrow. I'm 6ft tall and weigh 100kg and the sleeping bag I have is 200cm x 75cm and I found that I couldn't move inside it if I had it zipped up. So I only used it as a blanket really. That was fine as it only got down to about 16C, but our next trip is in June/July and we'd need to be prepared for 10C and less I think (North Qld so that's cold for us! ) so I might need one I can zip up.

Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for a larger/jumbo sized sleeping bag that's not too expensive?

You can buy JUMBO size sleeping bags, my mum had one and she paid less that $50 for it. I can't for the life of me remember the brand though.

Best thing is to have a look around at the sales which is what we did. I do remember it was rated at -5 degrees and I suggest that it a pretty good rating to look for.
