How can I cook chops, and basically BBQ stuff?

Postby MacLister » Sun Aug 14, 2011 7:37 pm

Hi guys.

Is there a way to BBQ chops, sausage, ribs etc, without making a fire with wood and coal? I'm looking for some form of mini BBQ, really, I guess, that works off my gas bottle, but is small enough to take in my camper trailer, an easy enough to clean.

Is there such a thing? Also, as a lot of sites don't allow open fires, would a gas powered BBQ class as a fire, and be frowned upon?

There are plenty of mini BBQs available with Weber BabyQ topping the list.

But if you don't want to go that road get yourself a portable stove (if you've not already got one) and then buy a cast ion skillet to use on top of it.

I have a small square one with a folding handle.....you may want something larger but they are readily available at most camp stores.

Or you may prefer a cast iron frypan.....both very good to cook chops, sausage, chops & steak on.

Just love my Weber baby Q. I am a bad cook but it does perfect meals for me and the family dosen't complain. We also have a Cobb and that is great to move around, as it doen't get hot on the outside but it is a little slow to cook on.
