Woodgate Beach

Woodgate Beach

Postby dicko77 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:20 am

Hi all went to woodgate beach in our week off in september had a good time. The caravan park there is nice a bit dusty but not to bad. I no we are camping but for $42.00 a night it would be good if they could put a bit of water on the grounds so it is not so dusty and a bit more grass would be good as well. There is a very nice beach there that my kids loved and It is not to deep and the waves are not to big. There is alot of 4wd tracks around to take a look at and a few of them lead to bush camp site and beach front camping. The park has a shop at the front and a nice deck where you can grab a bite to eat at the front. The toilets are nice and clean and we always had nice hot water so they were all good. The bowls club down the road puts on a good feed and is well priced and within walking distance. Over all it is a nice place to stay and would go back again but next time with my boat.
Cheers Dicko :beer

Thanks Dicko great report & pics....

I thought with the amount of rain up there it wouldn't be that dusty and a lot greener.....doesnt take much to throw some water around and it makes it that much nicer.

Looks like you all had a great time!!!!!!!

OK dicko.....great report but those pics are too big to be forum friendly. Can you resize them please....640x480 is the best size for forums.

Pics are a good size now dicko, easy to see.

I was there in January this year and the place was lovely and green, no dust at all. Pity it was like that for you as it is a lovely place.

Wonder why??

I am told the CP at Burrum Heads is also very nice, in fact some say nicer than Woodgate.
