That's the one I nearly bought but I am worried about the issues with condensation and leaks that are mentioned in quite a few of the reviews. So I am very keen to hear how you find it!

Hi! Tent arrived in 7 days from USA!
Did a trial in back garden yesterday.
Found a line of pinholes in one corner next to a seam
On dismantling my Wife snapped a piece connecting 2 poles together
Amazon have said that I can return it or that they will give 20% discount
Am waiting to hear back from Coleman about getting spare parts under warranty
Think I should easily repair the holes and the break was down to inexperience .. if you can get a salesman in a shop to let you get hands on would be much better.
I'll let you know what happens next.

What a bummer Richard.....hope it all works out..

Yes it would be much easier if you had got to see a salesman and how to put it up...

Richard,,,,,Have you ''Seasoned'' your tent yet ????

Try spraying it with a fine coat of water then allow it to dry...Then repeat with slightly more water....
This will pull the material tighter and your ''Pin-Holes'' should disapear......

Don't have the material stretched to tight when you do this.

Cheers

Rosco

Latest News!
Amazon have been outstanding, they shipped a new tent in record time, about 4 days from USA.
They requested that I return the original tent but once they found that it was going to cost them $339.00 to return through Australia Post they told me to keep it.
It's a good outcome because now I have a tent that I can take apart for spares.
Coleman have been slow to answer, about 7 days for USA to get back to me telling me to talk to Australia who then took 10 days to tell me:
"Unfortunately we don’t have these available as spare parts"
WTF!!
I had asked them if I could buy some spare parts as I didn't fully trust the tent and wanted some spares.
How they can sell a tent without making spare parts available is beyond me??
We're off camping at Inverloch 10th December .. I'll let you know how we go :)

I got the same response from Coleman US when I emailed them to ask if there were any plans to make an awning for the tent - which might have convinced me to buy one. I wasn't impressed with them referring me to Coleman Oz because as far as I am aware these tents are all designed - if not produced - in the US.

Is Coleman selling the tents in Oz yet though? Kelly's camping announced that they would have them in October, I think, but they still don't have them listed on their website.

I'm glad that Amazon came through. And great to have one for spares! Look forward to hearing your report.

We just came back from our first camping experience as a family, it was at the Big4 in Inverloch.
Tent went up easily enough: http://youtu.be/mKBxm-f6uCQ
The first Night (Sat 10th Dec) it rained a little bit and drops came through from a seam which had been manufactured with a slight twist, this wasn't such a big deal as we moved a few things and put some nespaper down.
Then, it rained and it rained and it rained all night long .. was torrential and windy!

The tent had tonnes of water get in and soaked everything, the Missus couldn't get to sleep all night as she was moving the kids out of the latest ingress of water and mopping up!

The next 2 nights we spent in a cabin.

As the manager of the site said
"There's no such thing as a tent that goes up in 30 secs and doesn't need a fly"

I'm very sorry that you had to find out the hard way though! It's such a shame because the tents look great...

Will you complain to Coleman or Amazon?

I'll leave a feedback report on the Amazon listing, Coleman can find it there.

It is usually the seams before anywhere else....have you tried it again since as it often takes a good downpour to season the tent in the first instance. You might find now that it has had a good wetting, that it is fine now, especially if it was only the seams that leaked.

I read quite a few reviews that mentioned bad condensation on the inside of the tent walls from rain or dew, so I suspect it is the material itself too.

What a damn shame Richard..."looks" good just a shame it doesn't hold up in the quality dept.

WOW look at you go tho in your video!!!!!! :?# :?# :?# :?#

Like Gypsy said after a really good drenching like that you might find that it may be a lot more water tight next camp. Maybe even put it up in the back yard when the next rain comes and see how it goes. The first time we used our CT we had a massive storm with big winds, so much so that our kids went and stayed with my brother & family in their cabin. We only had a few seams that leaked but they no longer leak now. The storm was pretty bad as we had water flowing under the tent and the annexe was ankle deep. No leaks now. We had even put ours up before hand and wet it several times with the hose before going but I think they need an actual drenching before it all seals up properly.

Good luck and hopefully if it still leaks you might get a refund.
