I got a job too!

Postby Soren G » Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:06 pm

Hi everybody,GOOD NEWS!
I have a job offer from a company in Albany,WA (Albany world of cars)....yeah :armsup
Yep,the count down is now ticking,by July/September we want to be in OZ.Can´t belief how easy it was (sure helped that I know how to make phone calls internationally).
Well,my good old trusty Truck (the petrol one,not the Diesel) is already gone and that means I am REALLY ready to go (I had that truck for nearly five years now and meant to keep it) and the rest is to follow suit (everything that we can´t get into the container or better into our enclosed utility trailer)...so,get ready for us :?# !
Cheers Gernod+gang

Thanks!
Today I phoned my employer and discussed some details about my migration.Thankfully, they have an immigration lawyer who will do all the paperwork of the process.Makes it a heck of a lot easier.

Well done Soren!
I imagine you have a lot of work to do like my self (as I am stating a new job in a different state).

I've just sold my house and I've found a home for the dog.
I have even found a place to rent, but I am still hoping to buy a house. The place offered to us to rent is not too good and over priced.

AAHHH Welcome to Sydney Drax!!!!

Everything is overpriced especially rental properties. I can't believe what my sister pays for what she gets ::()

This is why living in a country town is a GOOD thing.

I must say it is a very expensive place to live.

Soren,
It's great to hear that they have someone to handle your immigration details.
So when do you hope to get down here and what sort of job are you going to be doing?

PS: I came here 14 years ago from Belgium. Without a job and with only what I could take on the plane. My first job was weeding for an old German lady for $10/hour. :)
