HELP!?

Postby jasmine f » Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:47 am

My partner and I are both very outdoor people, we love fishing and kyaking and anything that gets us out of the city and out of the house. He is in the military and has returned from a rough trip overseas and he really needs to get out of the city for weekend. I need to find a camping spot close to Brisbane that is as quiet and issolated as possible. The big ticket here is privacy, we are looking for something as secluded as possible but Ive never been camping in Brisbaen before and dont know the areas. Please help, if you know of anywhere that might suit?

Hi Jasmine

I feel for you both.

A few questions:

How far from Brisbane are you prepared to travel?
Do you have four or two wheel drive?
Are you self sufficient or do you need facilities when camping?

That information will give people a better understanding of what to advise you.

Cheers

Yes self sufficient and 4WD, anywhere up to about 3 hours is workable but prefferably not much further than that...

Check out this place - http://www.glendoncamping.com.au

Give them a call and tell them what you are looking for. Happy for you to let them know you got their information from me.

There are probably other places but this one comes to mind.

Cheers and good luck with everything.
