Thanks for the kind wishes. Yes it has been a while, unfortunately we didn't do a trip last xmas as work was very busy and has been this year too. I've managed to find a week of clear space so I'll make the most of it. We're off in the morning. Last time in Hat Head was about 3 years ago. Took my oldies up with us and my sister came down from Brisbane for a family get together. My family and my sister's camped in our tents and the oldies stayed in a cabin just across the street. This time my wife is giving the outlaws their turn. So me, mrs croc and the junior crocs will be meeting up with mrs croc's sister, brother and their families and the outlaws will be in the cabin. Sounds like a fun week coming up.

Have fun

Was so nice to get our 4 days away......Not to sure if I could recommend Wooyung Beach camp though.
Firstly, for the price of $28- nite was way to expensive for a camp that has major water problems and virtually no play area for the young ones.
Water from the bore was being treated.....theres no way that I would have drunk it...even after boiling it.
I did feel a bit sorry for them as they had had no rain for 11 weeks however...When they finally do get their rain
There looked like only 2 tanks to store it.
Toilet facilities were very short in numbers...but the 2 mens and 2 womans that they do have were atleast clean.
The park is broken up into powered and unpowered...Far not enough powered sites and they were very small.
One ''upper''...The Owners / Managers...are very nice people...always keen to help and very pleasant.
The beautiful beach is just across the road...Nice beach......
And no,,,I don't think that we will be going back there unless we cannot find another Pet Friendly camp in the area. (was so happy that we had our own water / shower /toilet)

Glad you made the most of it in spite of the obstacles Rosco.

What made you pick this place in the first place??

Very easy question to answer Gypsy.......
They were the only camp in the area that were still ''Pet Friendly'' during the school holiday period.
The others eg..potsville..hastings point etc who advertised as normally being Pet Friendly...Drop that during public holidays...and school holiday periods.
I would almost say that EVERY camper at Wooyung camp had atleast one pet (dawg)....Just shows that there is a market for these camps.
Was good for Bailie as she doesn't get much of a chance to ''Socialize'' :beer at home...She loves saying ''Gid-day'' to the other Dawgs

Cheers

There is a huge demand for pet friendly venues but the CP fraternity do not seem to be taking any notice.....hence the big move away from CPs and on to free camping spots.
