Dust & water tight storage suggestions for Ute tub.

Postby kevin e » Sat Aug 03, 2013 11:40 am

Hi all,

I hope this hasn't been asked before?

Does anyone have tips for storing camping gear in the Ute tub while touring on lengthy corrugated roads/off road?

A mate suggested buying old army toolboxes, but I can't seem to find any.

I've just bought a new Ute & don't want to put a tub top mounted canopy on it; I put a leading brand canopy on my last Ute & it wasn't up to long trips on corrugated roads. A metal fabricated canopy that replaces the tub would most likely be more durable, but the cost/benefit puts it out of the equation.

All feedback welcome!

Cheers,

Kevin.

Space case. They're not cheap though!
Tough as they come for plastic cases though.

Hi Komodo,

Thanks for your reply mate! :=)

I just googled those Space Cases & they do look the goods. The price seems less than what Bunnings are asking for their cheap & nasty versions.

Cheers,
